Fair Trade Thanksgiving and Packing Opening Ceremony 2025 of CORR-The Jute Works.

On 16th of January 2025, Thursday, the Fair Trade Thanksgiving and Packing Opening Ceremony 2025 of CORR-The Jute Works (CJW) was organized with a colorful and festive manner at its Gulshan office premises. His Excellency Most Rev. Bishop Subroto Boniface Gomes, Auxiliary Bishop & Vicar General, Archdiocese of Dhaka graced the event as Chief Guest, where Dr. Fr. Hemanto Pius Rozario, CSC, Principal of Notre Dame College, Dhaka and Member, CJW Board of Trustees was present as Special Guest.

The program was presided over by the BOT Chairperson of CJW & Executive Director of Caritas Bangladesh Mr. Sebastian Rozario. The Deputy Director CJW, Mr. Uzzal Theotonious Corraya welcomed all the distinguished guests in the event and expressed his thanks and gratitude to all partners, artisans and associates for their continued support extended during the last year for the effective journey of CJW. The guests appreciated the efforts of CJW for worldwide presentation of Bangladeshi crafts and culture. They also recognized contribution of CJW for earning foreign remittance and development of the country as well as financial self-reliance of the poor and underprivileged women and widows by creating a supplementary source of income and ensure their social dignity. The Chairperson also acknowledged the determination of all the partners, producers, trustees and staff for their teamwork and thanked all buyers of CJW for their orders. The guests, artisans and stakeholders inaugurated the packing activities of 2025 together. A delightful cultural event was also arranged to make the program pleasant.
